Looks decent Matt. It should be a good platform to make a few additions onto...

I'll have an NP231 most likely coming out this winter....

My girlfriend is coming with me and possibly others ... but I think we could all have a fire pit. I thought the group area you described sounded like a field next to a parking lot ... I'm trying to stay next to the showers!
Think we are now doing Irish Valley on Sat night. We all just want to be close to Sal is the secret.

I picked one of THESE up at the Jeep show this weekend. Brian Wood asked me if I was going to paint it but for the haters sake, Ima leave it bling.
Aaron, are you still against putting a rear sway bar in? The kings might be more stable than your last set-up but I still think a sway bar would balance nicely with the front.
The cantilever spreads the stress out to multiple points through leveraging. He has a swaybar in there. Thick as hell. Frenched it into the rear bumper so its trick. Can't wait to see the finished product this weekend.

So I never looked at the videos linked in the first post. THIS PLACE LOOKS SWEET.

The only real advantage is the cool value. Also its fully under the tub. Honestly i would not recomend it. The tuning is very difficult and the fit is very tight. King shock has been very helpfull and knowledgeable thats why i switched to them. The radflo tech support was lacking. Also you can see a big differnce in how they are assembled and the parts they use. I actually had king valve the triple bypass (tb)backwards because if you look at it when the axle goes in compression the tb extends and the coilover compresses. I would be much simple and less expensive to just run 4 ori stuts and punch the rear ones through the body. You really have to see it in person and in action to see how complicated and cool it is. Btw the candilever itself is very difficult to design and build.I think with the new setup you have as much bling as bill. You just hide yours under the tub and inside the frame

From the title to the detailed answers to "why" certain steps were taken made me laugh so hard I almost fell out of the chair. I do love that craftsman heavy duty 3200 series work table.

Eh, seems expensive to me for something that isn't turn key. If you are going to do a project jeep, I would start it as bare as you can so you can make all of the decisions yourself.
-
I think it might be difficult for you to build a "trail only" rig and still want to drive it to wheeling locations. I think the best option is to buy a package of somebody getting out of the game. Quite often on pirate you can find people selling a buggy and a trailer combo.
Also, it is going to get really old really fast trying to keep your trail rig street legal. You are going to crush fenders, break lights, etc....

If it can be broken, Aaron has broken it. Lol
And then he has fixed it too haha

That article says the tires are 42" swampers. Sure look like Mickey Thompson Baja claws to me! Still a cool looking dune buggy.

Only thing on there that is transparent to me is the tail gate and rear corner panels??
-
Bag the July 20th RC run and to Anthracite instead?

Diesels are definitely more efficient, and will get you better fuel economy. However, if you are driving a jeep (a brick on wheels) are you really that concerned with fuel economy?
Even for a rock-crawler I don't see it making that much sense. The added weight would not justify the extra torque.
