Turned out to be a leak in the hydraulics. The Master and Slave cylinder ordered as one piece. Replaced and now runs fine. Vinny at Reno’s Transmission did the work. I trust him completely.

no a tj front axle always spins. If the t-case is put in 4wd it should engauge the front axle. The light is actuvated the same as a newer yj....the dentent switch grounds and the dash light turns on

Are TJ 4WD's vacuum actuated or did they move away from that?

A clutch will begin slipping before it goes. A bad clutch will also typically disengage high (as soon as you put pressure on the pedal). You'll smell it when it slips. A worn linkage will not engage until you push the pedal all the way to the floor …

sorrry dont know any shops down there but have them inspect the frame while they r under the jeep. Lots of issue on tj frames

what year? What were the symptoms? Just a dead pedal?
