Towing Jeep

  • I currently have an 83' cj-7. I found an 80' cj-7 near my house which i am going to buy and use for parts. I am planning on towing it home with my cj. It is only 3miles from my house so I figure I will just tow it home rather than having to rent a trailer and such. Does anyone know what the towing regulations are for PA for something like this?

  • to be legal i believe you need a tow bar and lights. no ropes or chains.......

3 miles....could probally get away with just about anything.

  • As Mellow said.

Just have the guy in riding in the tow vehicle know that he is supposed to keep that strap tight which means he'll need to hit the brakes before you.

The brakes in the parts vehicle DO work....right?
