I was going to BBD's to pick up a soft top for urbancrawler, when i got thier my engine was making a loud ticking noise. BBD and i opened the hood to see my fan vibrating back and forth, Blown Berring in the water pump. I was lucky that BBD had just put a new pump on his 8 months ago and was willing to give it to me off of his blown motor, Lucky me.
It took us almost 6 hours from start to finish with looking for a gasket, which no one in dover carries and the stealership suck because at 5 pm the parts people are out of their faster then you can blink an eye. So we ended up using gasket maker, which i am still Dinner was included in that time. Mrs. BBD cooked an amazing pork roast that was greatly appriciated on my behalf because the food at school is terrible. And for those of you that were wondering if the 95 pump fit on the 98 yes it will it looks different but bolts up nicely.
I am in BBD's debit i owe you big time man. thnak you sooo much for the pump and help putting it on. I would have been SOL if i had had that go out driving home today.
Glad you made it home. How many miles are on your vehicle? Usually water pumps are good for 100,000 miles.
