Synthetic Winch Line Care

  • OK any idea what kind of care needs to be done for Synthetic Winch Line. I have Synthetic Winch Line and want to know what kind of care i should give it. I don't use the winch very much so i want to make sure it gets taken care of. Any help would be grateful. Thank you!

  • Same here on mine
A few eeks ago when it was cold and rainging here
My line didnt feeze but it did get stiff at the where it was exposed .
As soon as I moved it around, it was good to go .
I'm not really concered with mine just plan on keeping on eye on it when it gets cold again .

Which winch cover did you end up with ?

  • As I understand it, synthetic winch line is UHMW PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) which is a plastic. You shouldn't have to do anything to it.
