YJ exhaust question

  • found my exhaust leak... the previous owner tried to cap the line that goes from the front pipe to the cat... ive heard of this being done...bit for pennsylvania emissions i think i may need the tube. anyone know what im talking about?? where can i get one q-tec dosent have it in their catalog...4x4hardware dosent seem to either

  • Check your local parts stores. I know when i worked at Pep boys they sometimes sold the tube seperate from the new cat converters. If they look at you funny tell them to look up a catalytic converter and see if it is listed on the same page.

  • Are you talking about the line that goes from the smog pump, to the exhaust manifold via a few check valves and such, and then down to the cat? If so you can make your own line out of copper tubing and some pipe fittings.
