I've just bought a YJ after being Jeepless for the last three years. I traded my '78 Kawasaki KZ650 for an '89 Wrangler with a 4.2, Peugeot 5 speed, hard top and doors, and no rust whatsoever. It's been sitting for around 11 years without a carb, but the motor appears to be very sound and turns over nicely with good compression. The rest of the Jeep is in amazingly great shape except for the paint on the nose.
I'm a mechanic and I've worked on many Jeeps before (even had a '94 YJ a few years ago myself). Plans for this begin with getting it back on the road, repainting the nose, upgrading to injection (either Howell or MPI), a small 1"- 2" lift, and eventually either an AX15 or a TF999 (i prefer the auto).
I live in PA but I'm in DE all the time. I do enjoy wheeling from time to time. I'm glad I was pointed toward this group!
