    Five men charged with criminal, forestry violations near Georgetown


    GEORGETOWN (Feb. 25, 2011) – DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement agents on Feb. 18 arrested five downstate men for violations of criminal and forestry regulations during routine patrol of Redden State Forest near Georgetown.


    David R. Wood Sr., age 53, and Craig Hitch, age 57, both of Milford, were arrested and each charged with one count of lewdness and one count of loitering to engage or solicit another to engage in sex. James R. Cleveland, age 55, of Georgetown, was arrested and charged with one count of loitering to engage or solicit another to engage in sex. Stanley W. Arthurs, age 47, of Seaford, was arrested and charged with one count of loitering to engage or solicit another to engage in sex and one count of second degree indecent exposure. All four were issued summons to appear in Justice of the Peace Court No. 3 in Georgetown.


    Also arrested was Pernell M. Ayers, age 53, of Lincoln. Ayers was charged with trespassing after hours on state forest lands, fined and released.
