Yes we need to plan a menu for 80-85 people, we then need to purchase the food. I have a BJs and a Costco membership, JFJ is purchasing the food but I was going to put up a post about food donations.

Does all the food need to be made on location? I'm assuming so due to possible food safety regs. Just thinking that prepping some things before hand may make that day go a little smoother. Will we be the only people staffing the kitchen or are we supplementary to the RMH staff?
-
It's just us, and yes they require everything be prepared there.

Only 3 days til the event.... is there anything that needs to be taken care of before-hand? I'm petty much available anytime after 3pm and all day Saturday.

I know Turtle is planning on doing the shopping for this, but I'm not sure when he is going or if he needs any other help. I will defer to him.
In all honesty, my thought though is no other before-hand help is needed. We will have the food bought and just show up on time ready to help out and we should be good to go. -
The only prep I need to do is shopping which my wife and I will take care of
-
Awesome! Let us know if anything comes up and you need some help.
On another note, is anyone planning on caravaning up to RMH? I've never been there before but I could find it easily enough.
PS- I have a 120 quart cooler if needed to transport the food.

Chsnge of plans for my wife and me. Unfortunately I now have to work on Sundsay. My apologies. I was really looking forward to this.

For those attending on Sunday please be at the RMDH around 2:30 and please park across the street as the patients need to use the parking lot closest to the house. We will do our best to be done at 5:30 so everyone can get to their Super Bowl parties. All volunteers are invited and encouraged to stay for dinner with the residents.
-
Jeremy, I hadn't really thought about caravaning since it's not that far from my house. You could always meet me at my place and go up from there.

Again, many thanks to all who came out. Here are some pictures from this afternoon.

Good job!! I'll try to help out at the next one. I have some experience cooking for 50 to 100 people. From the pics it looks like a pretty nice kitchen.
-
The kitchen there is awesome! It made preparing that much food a breeze.
-
Thank you card received from RMHDE for cooking dinner on 2/3!
