I just acquired a 96 Cherokee and I'm thinking about putting spacers up from and shackles in the back, I read that gets 2" of lift and plenty of room for 31's. Anyone have this set up and some insight? Should I just spend the money and get a 3-3.5" suspension lift? I don't do any roc crawling, just some mud snow and beach riding
Lifting my xj??

...2" of lift and plenty of room for 31's...I feel that 2" of lift will not comfortably fit 31" tires. 30"s maybe, but not 31" tires.

That's what I thought too. I've read things that say stuff like "they only rub when flexing" but that persons definition of flexing could be going over a speed bump

They Rusty's Offroad kit is like $270 and inclues 3" spings up front and AAL's in the rear. It includes shocks and u-bolts too. I have it on mine and was happy with it. I was considering adding some shackles down the road.

What size tires are you running shadyluke, and did the lift give you a bad ride?

Ride was fine. Talk to Andy Darkside, he just installed it on his DD XJ. I was running 235/75/15 tires since thats what I had. I was going to upgrade once they wore out but the jeep got hit instead.
