HELP! YJ is smoking badly. UPDATE!!!!

  • Well it bypassed a few issues like the leak around the main seals, but it is at least road worthy for this trip. I hate last minute glitches like that.

...but then, it does give me an excuse to drink.

  • I know there was an issue when the motor in My 89 was changed with it smoking too. something to do with emmissions junk. dealer fixed it in couple hours most time was waiting for the part.

oppps I didnt read second page... oh well Glad its fixed and cheaply too

  • You have to make sure your PCV valve is getting suction, and if it is working. I was having an issue once where the underside of my hood would get coated on the passenger side only. I traced it down to lack of suction to the PCV valve which caused a pressure build up that shot out the rear valve cover vent.
