It is not a '79 more than likely an '85. It is a CJ10a. Nissan 33sd n/a 6 cylinder diesel, 727 with a np208 locked in low. Dana 70 rear with 4.88 gears, dummy front dana 44. 3 pintle hooks on back end, #1200 weight over rear axle. Rated tow capacity on tarmac of 40,000#(yes 40,000#). I bought one 18 years ago, sold it about 4 years ago.

4K is a bit to much,Fun Jeep to drive. I spent 13 months in Central America with one of them as my primary source of transportation. Mine was doorless the entire time and it would peg out around 22-23mph
