So after months of running the bare minimum of soft tops and trying diligently trying (kinda sorta, not really) to actually put the top up when it rains, I had to put the hard top back on for an upcoming excursion. I couldn't believe how much water was under the seats and it actually filled the well where the jack is. This is my 4th Jeep (in the last 20 whatever years) but 1st JKUR and I was surprised how much was in there. In every other jeep I've had I just pulled the drain plugs as soon as I got it and never put them back in or even worried about it again and never seemed to have any water retention issues but the jk seems different. I was actually trying to keep this new jeep nice for a bit, even though its not lux like a Sahara, but I always seem to get distracted by other (Squirrel! - beer!) things. Any thoughts on drain plugs in / out, or is it a case by case thing, based on weather?
these JK's sure hold alot of water

This is the better option..
Sorry in advance that I have nothing on-topic to add. I just wanted a historical quote of Steve stating a JKU is a better option to what I can only assume he meant his Scrambler

Not a chance - my days of sporting a pony tail are well behind me.

Aren't there extra drain plugs in them in the hard to reach areas?
If not what about making a hole?

Quoted as evidence that you used to have a pony tail

No shame here. I was a head banging, leather jacket wearing, heavy metal listening punk before the government got their claws in me.
