yeah, they are assigning positions in line based on registration time though. I'm 31, dunno where they'd put you. Not sure if it's one long thing or breaking it up into smaller groups. They do mention staggering each person's departure time to make it easier on mirrors-vs-lights.

I talked to Kyle at quadratec and he said if you're 31 and I'm, say, 35 you can jump in behind me. Said he hadn't planned the loop yet but expects it to be about 90 minutes and once you complete it you can get back in line and do it again.

I'm not staying for the night run. Rugby and I will have to be heading home.

booked the night run

Has a great time with all you guys, cant wait for next time!

Yeah, def had a fun time! Good wheeling during the day, the night ride was fun for something different. It would probably make it even harder logistically but it would be nice if ORC did a couple different trail levels so it was more than just a ride through access trails. I get they can't just make it a free for all and it was already slow moving as it was but in some way make it a little challenging.
Hopefully Jay will write up a better one but here's my trail report for the daytime ride:

Well, this was strange. Was sitting at a wreck this morning with the heat cranked up for over an hour ( I was outside). When I got back into the Jeep, there's another yellow jacket by the door! I guess it got in and took a nap somewhere until the heat woke it up.
-
I was wondering why those trails were closed. You guys ever upload those pictures and videos meeper?
-
i dunno, i havent even seen anything and i work here! lol
-
I didn't do anything with my camera... this is all I took.

Here's my quick report... @Slowpoke, @astape, @JKgray10, Owen, @Stafford and myself tagged along with @Meeper and the crew from Quadratec most of the day. We started off by heading over to the hill climb but it was closed. Aaron started exploring two harder routes up the hill and was using the skinny pedal when the throttle cable snapped. We all hung out for a while and
watchedhelped Aaron fix it. Part of this waslive-streamed on Facebook, which we didn't realize until too late. He powered through the rest of the hill, but had to turn around as it was blocked off at the top. Yellow jackets flying everywhere... didn't attack, but annoyed us here and most of the day. One of them managed to stow away in my Jeep the entire weekend, it flew out on Monday morning. After that, we made it over to Barney Rubble (black trail/obstacle) and went down part of that... the big guys went through it twice, I believe. I ripped off my air pressure switch somewhere on here. We stopped for lunch and watched the big guys seal a leak on Owen's fuel cell... then escorted him back to the parking lot as we left and went over to the Upper Anthracite trail. I think this was a blue/black trail. Aaron and Matt caught up with us here... it was getting late, and we started a slow return to the parking lot, playing in a gravel field and taking a green trail or two on the way back.
We all eventually got back to the campsite and the DEJA crew except Stafford and myself packed up and returned home. As Jay was leaving, he had a run-in with a campground staffer who took offense to the way he shifted or something stupid... he flew down between the campsites in his TJ, broke through caution tape and went airborne over a berm, then went nose to nose against Jay's CJ forcing him to stop and yelled at him for speeding with probably 20 onlookers. This was total BS, so I exchanged a few words with him myself... he seemed to think that his show was an appropriate reaction to make a point against whatever he thought Jay did wrong. There's a 5mph speed limit through the campground, and I really doubt that Jay could have hit much more than that in the 100 feet since he shifted into 1st and idled down the road. I posted a negative review on their facebook and they just apologized today, saying it was a case of mistaken identity... I really hope that they talked to that guy though. I heard from other people that he was pulling stuff like that all day.
After that show, we went up to the pavilion to wait for the night run. Geoff and I had paid for spots in line, but waited until the end and rolled with the Quadratec crew. Light bars galore! Geoff actually turned off his headlights for most of the run and had no trouble seeing the trail. It was pretty slow going with well over 100 vehicles in front of us and a broken down pickup that delayed us for a few minutes. I think it was all access-level trails, don't think anything even qualified as a green trail.
-
The guy going nose to nose with Jay was completely uncalled for. If Jay was exceeding the 5mph speed limit it certainly wasn't by much and the guy tearing ass through sites and launching over the berm was a helluva lot more dangerous to whatever kids he imagined playing in the area.
