Jk soft top question

  • I see there are two holes on the underside of the roll bar that the soft top frame mounts to but I don’t think the bracket on this top would ever reach the holes. Any pics/videos I’m finding have a different style bracket there. Does anyone know what I’m missing or doing wrong?

Got the jeep 6 weeks ago Was removing the soft top on and off by unscrewing the T30 torx screw off the bracket. Now one of them won't come out. It just sits…

  • You have to basically fold the whole top up as you would if you took it down while attached and push the whole thing over the back of the roll bar until the holes line up. Thats how i do mine. An extra set of hands is always helpful as well.

  • It sounds like you might be dealing with a mismatched soft top frame or missing hardware. Some soft top frames, especially aftermarket or different model years, have brackets that don’t align perfectly with the factory roll bar holes. Double-check that your soft top is made for your specific year and model of Jeep, as mounting points can vary.

You might need an adapter or different mounting bracket if it's an older soft top. I’d recommend checking if your top came with additional hardware or brackets that may help extend the reach. If you can, share the brand or model of the soft top—it might help narrow down the issue!
