Drive Shaft Cutting

I went by Kellers Truck supplies in Dover yesterday.
I was asking about their drive shaft cutting service at the up-State store.

The guy said they do not cut the shafts in Dover but..
They have a truck that runs in between stores every day.
Us down-State people can drop the shaft off at the Dover Store they will run it up-State, cut and balance it, then return it to Dover the next day.

Sounds like a plan

Question on measuring the shaft. I know I need to take a measurement in between the yokes using the mounting flat to get my numbers.

Do I need to use this number or should I subtract an inch or two to allow for the slip splines.

you can use that number, just tell them thats how you measured it.
