• So, I have a few broken bolts in one of my hubs and I need to fix it to keep the locking hub on. No problem, I have a spare hub in my parts pile. So I clean the spare up, knock the bearings and races out of the old hub and put them in the spare. I knock the wheel studs out and put them on as well. Then I go to mount the assembled rotor/hub. CRAP!!! The spare hub was from a drum brake set up! :upset: It's ¼" thicker where the studs go through. Not much difference you say? Well, it's thicker on the rotor side so it pushes the rotor closer to the disc brake bracket and makes it rub! :soapbox:

I got 4 of the 6 holes in the old hub cleaned out. I can't get the broken bolts out of the other 2 holes. So, I decided to order a new hub from Quadratech. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. If not, I will have to put the old hub back on with 4 bolts. :hmm:
