I won't go into great detail here as to why, but I've been thinking of selling the TJ for a while, and I think the time has come.

KBB puts it at around $13K stock in good condition. I'm in no rush to sell so will probably start out asking $15K for it.

I thought I'd toss it out here first, but will also be posting on some local for sale sites.

A lot of states cover windshield glass separately from your typical insurance claim with no surcharge, DE law doesnt...its covered under comprehensive. Your particular policy may include it as a no cost replacement (likely built it). JeffsJK can probably explain it even better if he sees this.

Some will also cover a repair for free, but not replacement.

I got these for Christmas. http://www.amazon.com/OPT7-Hea…r-Arc-Beam/dp/B00VNBEJ1G/

I finally got around to installing them a few weeks ago.

I am running Hella E-Code housings.

Installation is very simple. Remove the old bulb, insert the new assy. lock the clip, and plug it into the original connector. Hardest part was getting the clip back in to position. The difficulty will depend on your dexterity, size of your fingers, and the ambient air temp. :)

Here's a pic showing how much whiter these are:

It's weird to hear fans running when you turn the lights on. Won't hear them with the engine running.

Here's a quick video of driving at night:

All in all I'm happy with them.

Don't expect the cutoff you get with focused lamps, but these are much better behaved than the HID's I tried in these same housings. I did drive in the snow at dark and they were great. I couldn't see crap when I had the HIDs in.

Why not go this route and grab the matching front(should be 3.73's I think with the Dana 44. There are plenty of rusted frame TJ's being parted out in craigslist, some I am sure have 44's. All bolt in, no fab to do.

Might need a shorter rear driveshaft with the 44.

You can get a $20 set of FRS radios with weather channel that wouldn't require hard mounting. If the cell towers and internet are both down I would grab all the food and guns you can find then gtfo of wherever you are. :)

Hey. I freak out when DEJA goes down. Lol

As far as space between the tires and body, here's a pic of mine with 3.5 springs, 1.25" body lift and 33" tires.

    About perfect IMO.

You haven't really said what you plan to do with it, that makes a world of difference.

For mall cruising and the beach you can probably stuff 35's in there with that amount of lift.

12.5" tires will most likely need wider flares to get thru inspection.

I'm also adding a body lift also! Its not my daily driver so I'm not looking to do it tomorrow. I don't really know anyone on here who would weld it up.

3 people were mentioned 3 posts up that could handle welding brackets for you.

I dont think 11 drums or even a disc conversion would affect the value of a restored Jeep. It is common to make a safety related mods on restorations. Key is to do it correctly. Think that the exception is when you have a very rare example. Like a 73 Super Jeep or an 86 Scrambler.

    Or a 96 Wrangler. :)

Once you factor the radio, wiring, antenna, and tune it all up you're nearly $200 into it. Or you can use the free NOAA app on your smartphone

Yeah, only real advantage would be if the Internet and the cell towers all went down.

What im saying is u can get a set a 4cyl tj axles for less then $500, swap them in and get a better ratio. U will be on the road un a day. U dont need the 8.8 unless u r gonna wheel the jeep. Even on 35's it will be be fine on the beach and light trails if u dont lock it.

He won't be wheeling it much with 35's and 3" of lift unless he does major cutting anyway.
