It seems my oil pressure is higher then I thought it should be.
Is there a normal range the oil pressure should be within for a 2.5L?

I want to say mine sits around 40.
(haven't driven it in a few days)

Does it seem higher since the colder weather? if that's the case then its probably just because the oil is thicker when its cold out and when it warms up, then its at a more normal reading.

mine goes a lil above 40 i believe

It's been sitting around 60 for quite awhile now, not just when it was cold. Is that too high? Any way to lower it?

My jeep runs around 60 but its a 4.0 I would think the higher the better

Mine runs high, 60-80. Mopartech did the once over on it and said it was fine .

I believe my oil pump mat be on it's last leg.
My oil pressure is around 40 at 2500 rpm but drops to 20 at idle

Check the oil viscosity. Did it start running higher after the last oil change? Some run thicker stuff in the summer. Your owner's manual will tell you what to run.
If you want to lower it you can run lower viscosity (lower numbers) oil, but you may be messing with the warranty. Also, sometimes $ynthetisc can lower pressure too..
