We rolled up on a serious MVC where an older Celica was trying to pull across oncoming lanes to go into a gas station. It pulled into the path of a large Mercedes and the passenger took a helluva side impact. We just happened to be returning from a fire and got there seconds after it happened. The driver yanked his unconscious buddy out the driver's side and tried to run off with him over his shoulder. An ER nurse happened to be in the Mercedes and was screaming at the driver to leave his friend because he needed immediate help. So the driver just flopped his buddy onto the pavement like a west sack of s@#t and took off.

Another time, we got a call for a vehicle into a house directly across from Station 2. The guy jumped out of the carv and walked on down the road after taking out an entire bedroom. The car had Virginia plates so the police ran the tags and called the owner. She had loaned the car to her brother who lived in Dover. A quick call to him determined that the brother had loaned the car to a buddy who was a little overdue in returning it. No buddy left behind, but nice thing to do to your buddy's sister's car.

Once we had a minivan rolled over several times on Rt. 8. The three friends left their buddy in the middle of the road and ran west. Where are you going to go halfway between Dover and Hartly at 3am in January? The buddy in the road had no radial pulse and was circling the drain. Later that day, they found the other three occupants at a nearby farm. All were unconscious and close to dying. One was in a field and two were in an old, junk car behind a barn.

And my all-time favorite: Guy on Kenton Rd. tries to use the oncoming lane as a turn lane except the oncoming lane had already been claimed by oncoming traffic. He went head-on into this 16yo girl's brand new BMW and destroyed both cars. The driver's door won't open so what does he do? Climbs over his pregnant wife's broken legs and ignores his daughter's screams of pain from her broken arm and runs like the devil. Nice guy.

isn't interesting when the body goes into shock , you never know just what it will do.
