I shot some good pics of a pro-mod roll, I'll upload them Monday night.

    Jerry / Whatevah

2020 Gladiator Mojave - 33" Falken mud tires, LoD side steps, Zroadz bed rack, Quadratec QRC winch bumper, Superwinch EPi 9.0, Kleinn on-board air, Kleinn air horns, lots of lights, Yaesu ham radio with GPS tracker.

Gone- 2012 JK Rubicon with stuff. Long gone- Long-arm 2001 Cherokee with stuff.

  • I wouldn't laugh too loud at the cones being hit. Mostly everyone hit something. Those courses were SICK! Good....but sick! There were a lot of hair pin turns with no room for error and if you lined up perfectly for one turn you were mis-aligned for the next.

All I can say is that it was INCREDIBLE to watch some of the driving that had to be done. The man made course was pretty cool. The spray on concrete is so grippy that you can pretty much walk up it almost vertically. In some ways that was better for the driving (while off camber) but I think it made the hair pin turns harder.

thats one of the things they like about the man made is it has so much traction they can make vertical climbs and such to make it exciting to watch as a spectator.

as far as the cones, just giving aaron a hard time as usual.

  • it always seemed so anti-climatic... "VRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM" ... "cone!"

  • One thing I noticed is more of the Modified buggies were running V8s. I seem to remember 4 cylinder and V6 engines being more popular. Hearing the V8s reving does add to the excitement!
