Trying to find out where I can find a new steering column shroud for a 91 yj.... I do beleive I need a 92 one because I have tilt steering..... Go figure.... Any info would help.

The plastic part that goes around the column where the key inserts? What happened to yours?

Well.... Let's just say I was gonna paint them black and I tried my hardest to not make them look like crap and well.... They look like crap.... So I figured why not just buy them black. Unless there's a paint I can use that won't give it the " melted plastic look" and have no clue on what to use to strip them and start all over.

I'd use the bumper black and trim paint. Its made to paint plastic. I painted an old set of flares with it and it worked great. Lasted a long time too. Of course prep work is everything when it comes to painting.

Its weird I did my door panels one turned out really good but the one turned out horrible did the same thing on both sides same process and everything. So if I could find a way to completely strip them and start fresh.... I have no clue what the previous owner did... Bu i know it should be a lot easier then this.
