My passenger seat is completely stuck - will not slide or tumble. Hasn't for a while. Seriously a pain in the ass when putting the car seat in. I want to put my hard top on but want to have a tumbler seat first to make life easier. Any suggestions?????

Pull it out by removing the 4 bolts, flip over, and give the slides a couple of good shots with WD40. Leave them sit for a few hours then hit them again and try the lever. Seems like the TJ sliders fit into the category of "use it or lose it" when it comes to that. Once you have them moving, I'd apply a more silicon based spray so that they don't dry back out or attract sand when at the beach.
Take care when tugging on the slider lever when they are out of the Jeep too. When not mounted to the tub, they have a tendency to slide separately and at different times as sometimes the lever will disengage one slider just a little sooner than the other. Makes for a surprise when you aren't expecting it. Also will require a little bit of aligning to get them both at the same point when going to reinstall in the Jeep.

Chris is spot on other than I'd suggest one of the 'dry' lubes rather than a silicone lube...they leave a dry film and don't attract dirt. There's a Dupont Teflon branded one and PB Blaster GDL (stands for garage door lube) that I've used, both with good result.

Oh Jodie.....

" Proper lubrication is key " Has always been a good rule to follow.

Oh Jodie.....
So a lube that's aloe based or reactivates in water probably isn't the way to go . . .

Silicon lube is categorized as a "dry" lube

Note: Searching 'silicone lube' on google returns mostly items that Jodie's already got.

Big difference between silicon and silicone.
I've always considered silicon spray a dry type non attractant lubricant.

Maybe you just need to beat it harder
