Yoke Removal

  • You may need to use some sort of puller. Yoke nuts are put on super tight if I recall. See if a cheapo steering wheel puller from Pep Boys would work. They are basically a round piece of metal with holes (or slots) cut in that bolts go through to screw into the piece being pulled. There is also a larger center bolt that you crank down on and it pushes against the shaft and essentially pulls the peice off the shaft.

  • When i did mine i used a bfh an that worked fine. When Loki and i did his we used the steering wheel puller, it had the small bolts that fit into the bolt holes. The puller took it right off. But then, so did the hammer.

I may be slowest and the stupidest

  • Well I swaped the yokes around today.
Air impact wrench and a easy tug with my hand, the the yokes came off with ease.
