Kinda cool but not worth the $$ IMHO.

Low digit tags and cool vanity plates are cool, but no way worth that kind on cheese... to me anyway.. $4k buys a lot of Jeep goodies that will get more attention than some silly plate..
That person has been trying to sell that for months. It pops up every day on my search for a yj.
I thought that DMV did away with a straight plate transfer because they were unable to collect taxes on that "cheese". I thought you had to keep it attached to a car.
They did away with attached plate policy years ago.
In fact, the DMV auctioned a single digit plate a few years
back as some sort of PR stunt. I think its the reason we
suddenly started seeing $200,000 tags all of a sudden...
I know a guy, a very rich guy, who paid 675K for Del Plate No 6. He also owns No. 9 and several 2 digit plates. I told him he had more money than brains.
When I went after plate "488" in highschool the guy
wanted the obsene price of $5,000 for it... if I had
only known...
Thought he posted it on here a while back.... I saw it on low digit tags website the other day for 3k just for the jeep tag
