I hear that if you leave a warm damp beach towel laid out flat on your windshield that it will keep ice/frost from form on the glass.....

Until the wipers freeze to the glass and then they rip.I was thinking about that. You'd still have to scrape them clear by hand to make sure they aren't froze to the windshield. And if you're doing that why not flex them with your fingers to break the ice off?
Still a neat concept. Won't replace scraping ice though.
