New to the Area

  • Hey guys, I just moved to the Wilmington area and am looking for some trails to ride. Nothing too advanced. I moved up from southeast Texas and have only ridden on the beaches. Can anyone recommend some beginner to intermediate trails around the north Delaware area.

Also, I found this website from a group of Jeeps I saw in the Pike Creek shopping plaza this past weekend.

  • hey welcome to the area :wavey:. Sorry to bust your bubble but theres no trails located in Delaware. We typically trial ride up up in PA at rausch creek and paragon. I'm located in Greenville if you need a hang with something.

  • Check out http://www.paragonap.com for more info. on the closest and best place to wheel in the east. There are Jeepers here of all kinds to go on rides with. I race in the WeRock comps http://we-rock.cc., but also do fun rides with the group. Also check out http://www.quadratec.com for aftermarket stuff. They are close West Chester, PA.

    Welcome to DE,
    Aaron

  • Welcome to our little part of the world. We do have beaches but you have to be actively fishing so you can't just go out for a drive. :bang: :bang:

The parks that are mentioned above are your best bet. Check in here and you can also hook up with some of our groups going to those parks.

Hope to see you around :wavey:

  • Welcome to Delaware, off-roading mecca of the East Coast! :wavey:

You happened upon our annual Toy Drive (http://www.jeepsforjoy.org), which is run by the club and it's members. I can't really add much to what you've been told already. Paragon and Rausch Creek at the places to go. The beaches here in DE for surffishing too, and you'll see the occasional trip to the Pine Barrens in NJ (mostly sand and mud).

Our next monthly meeting is in jan, at the Lobby House in Dover. There's plenty of folks from up north that drive down if you want to meet up with someone and follow them down. Dinner, Jeepers, and usually a pretty good time.

Hope to meet you on the trails.
