About 2-3 months ago my 04 tj (4.0 auto trans) started acting up once in a while when hit the gas kinda hard from a complete stop. Acting up meaning the engine revs but it seems like something in the tranny isn't engaging cause it doesn't go anywhere. When I let off the gas and then ease right back on it, everything is fine. Like I said it doesn't do it everytime I get on it but maybe like once every 2 weeks or so.
I know it's not a race car but an example of when I'm "getting on it" would be when I'm turning out of a shopping center onto kirkwood highway or something. (pretty much the worst time you want the thing to not get-up and go)
