You're going to skin the thing anyway so why not eat the meat? I would.

Beleive it or not, I can get a lot in the back of my CJ5. With the back seat in, I got both my kids and Bear in the back. My kids were probably 14 and 10 at the time (it was at the club picnic) and Bear is a good 80 lbs. Yeah, it was tight and probably an uncomfortable ride for the kids from New Castle to Killens Pond but they didn't complain (and I wasn't riding back there so what the hell).

Why didn't he just strap it on the hood?
