Hey all, My name is Gary, I am 23 Years old, and I just got my very first jeep, it is a used red 2008 Jeep Wrangler X. I could not believe i actually got it. I have wanted a jeep my whole life, I have always been fascinated by them. I have had it now for about 5 Days, and I love it. I am from New Castle County, born and raised here my whole life. Hope to see you guys runnin around with your doors off and your tops back this summer, ill be sure to wave!

HI!! welcome to the group!! Hope to see you on a trail ride...

Welcome, there are a couple FFs and EMTs on here. I'm with 21 and the CER.
Got bad news for you... once you have a Jeep, you'll always want one. You might get a truck or a car for a while, but you'll always be wanting another Jeep.

Thanks guys, I have a stock 2008 Jeep Wrangler. Obviously I want a Lift and tires, but my question is, Where to buy, and what should i expect, im a career firefighter/emt so im not a millioniarWhat tires are on it now? if it's the 255/75/17 tires (usually not on X models, but occasionally...) those are just about 32". So going up to 33s doesn't really take much. I'm doing that with my Rubi with a 2.5" lift, but only because I want to stick with a narrow (10") tire instead of a 12.5" wide tire you get with most of the 33s and larger tires. The lift is for extra clearance when fully loaded (check out this thread to see why)
A 2-3" spacer lift will be great, simple to install and minimal work needed. Keep in mind that when you go to larger tires, the speedometer will be off by the percentage of size increase. You'll need a programmer of some type to re-calibrate that, the AEV ProCal is fairly popular.

Welcome Gary. I'm pretty sure the Jeep does not exist without a picture to prove it.
