I'm in need of help repairing the skid plate mounting weld nuts on my cj. Shouldn't be to hard of a job I just don't have a welder.
let me know if you can help, I'm trying to get this done before the weekend of April 18th.
Thanks
Andy

Andy, I can give you a hand with the weld nuts. I've got a stick welder. I'm free this weekend except Sat. morning planning to attend the Sussex Jeeps/Java meet up. Most other weekends until 4/18 I think I'm free too.

Be a whole lot easier with a MIG. If its rusty, that metal is thinner and a stick will make it really easy to blow through it.
I agree a MIG would be easier, one is on my wish list. Just offering what I have available. Would have been nice to have had one this winter when I eliminated my skid plate nutserts, but I made it work.
Andy, you know you can always use my welder. It's a Lincoln Pro (220V). Right now I only have the flux core, but I have a tank and am planning to get the gas mixture very soon.
I have a mig. Don't know if you want to drive up to Smyrna or not? I'm home Sat.
I have a mig you are welcome to use.
Thanks for all the offers guys! This weekend is a no go for me but I'll post up what weekend I'm thinking about and see who is available.
I have a welding shop if you cant get it done locally. Im up by wilmington though.
Well it turns out that I was able to make time this weekend. I was able to get the skid securely up in place with the help of jim and his welder. Thanks a million to everyone who offered to lend a hand.
