I have 2000 wrangler project has 4.0 I do not know where return gas line goes maybe I think gas tank was rotted away any one know where it goes to???

Returns back to the tank. Should be another port, probably in the sending unit, for it to attach

ther is NO return gas line on a 2000, 4.0l. The regulator is built inyo the sending unit. U may be looking at the vent to the charcol canister?

Isn't the steel line that runs to be tank connected from the tank vent to the charcoal canister?

On a CJ it does via the roll over check valve

john 1986 called and said they want their tech back :).

the 2 small ports on top of the tank come together into a "y" with rubber hose and then a single rubber hose goes to the frame rail. Then hard line goes all the way up, u can use 3/16 brake line to relace the hard line, then rubber hose to the canister.
