Ring Gear Info

    My ring gear has 7 3096 Dana D 40790 P8L690 43 14 218 is that 355's or 307's or what?

Divide the number of teeth on the ring gear by the number of teeth on the pinion.

  • It's a 3.07. I beleive the '43' is the number of teeth on the ring gear and the '14' is the number of teeth on the pinion.

What gears are you loooking for? I have 3.73 and 3.54 for a CJ Dana 30 and 3.73 for a CJ Dana 44.

Not that it has any bearing.

Like everyone else said, divide the teeth on the ring gear by the teeth on the pinion gear.

  • I got a 8and1/4 off of Wolverine and the gears are not the same as what I had.So I went back and got the dana 30 from him and took the gears out to put in mine. They look small, thats why I wanted to know. Thanks it sounds like 307's
