Debate on Dubs

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, free bump, Baaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha dubs hahahahahaha, on a jeep, hahahahahaha.

Seen it, hated it, moving on!

1999 Grand Cherokee WJ 3" lift JK Moabs 31" tire
1993 Grand Cherokee 7" Long Arm, Badgeless, SOLD
    1981 CJ-7 4" Lift, 31" MTR's, Pretty Blue

  • Dubs wouldn't be bad on an off roading vehicle on 40" tires. They're fine for a mall crawler if you're into that sort of thing but I wouldn't be looking to put them on my wife's Grand. My neighbor has them on his Suburban and I guess it doesn't look too bad. Too much money for rims and tires in my opinion.

  • Don't see too much of a debate...IMHO I'd rather see a Jeep sporting a set of Iroks on 20 or 22" wheels (and yes, they are available in 36x13.50R20 on up to 49's) then some equally stupid looking fake beadlocks! Just because they're large diameter doesn't mean they're 'bling'...not all 20's are chrome...

  • i wasnt dissing on anyone...i like the bigger wheels, but when i read dubs i cant help but laugh and think of spinning chrome 20s....to each and their own.

x2 to me dubs is a slang term for blingin chrome rims.

  • Now they look cool there because the tire side wall is balanced out, plus on that type of vehicle.

I was never a fan of them on a Grand though. Nor would I be a fan of seeing them with those tires on a Camaro.

But that's me. As Artie rightfully said, our opinion doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

  • I used to not appreciate large wheels. Then I saw a set of what must have been at least 24" rims on a Chrysler 300. Eventhough they were huge, theey made that 300 stylin'. Looked like a Hot Wheel I used to have as a kid. Sometimes, just the aesthetic is interesting.

  • From http://urbandictionary.com

DUBS : noun- twenty inch rims and only twenty inch rims for anything larger see twankie dueces, dub dueces, or duece dueces. smaller see dub minus dueces
