Well if you gear it too low you'll end up with a small pinion.

My rear axle is still stock d35 373 gearing. It is set up for a sprung over YJ. Anyone want it once it is removed from my rear?

damn and you have 35in tires see sometimes the 35 can hold upThat is because I did not put a locker in it and I take it easy. If I was hard on it I'm sure the axle would snap. The 8.8 should let me play harder.

my buddy has 34.5's on his with stock axles, had it that way for 2 years, he beats the crap out of his axles, still holding strong, did i mention hes locked front and rear.... they can hold up... if your luckey!

i wheeled my YJ with a stock axle with 3.07's and 35's........ this is my 89.
my 94 i wheeled for a few years with stock d35 and d30 with 33's.. and 3.73 gears

I finally finished grinding the spring mounts and sway bar mounts off it.
Today I went to Short's
They have a 95+ Explorer with the 8.8. I'm going back to pull the yoke off of it today.
