  • Well if you gear it too low you'll end up with a small pinion.

  • I just ordered the instlation kit from MORE
    Hope to get the axle in the YJ within the next month.


    i just got finished mine, i was suprised how easy it was didnt take no more than a couple of hours, and i aslo did the more kit

    My rear axle is still stock d35 373 gearing. It is set up for a sprung over YJ. Anyone want it once it is removed from my rear? :suspicious:

    That is because I did not put a locker in it and I take it easy. If I was hard on it I'm sure the axle would snap. The 8.8 should let me play harder. :rollsmile:

  • my buddy has 34.5's on his with stock axles, had it that way for 2 years, he beats the crap out of his axles, still holding strong, did i mention hes locked front and rear.... they can hold up... if your luckey!

  • i wheeled my YJ with a stock axle with 3.07's and 35's........ this is my 89.


    my 94 i wheeled for a few years with stock d35 and d30 with 33's.. and 3.73 gears

  • I finally finished grinding the spring mounts and sway bar mounts off it.


    Today I went to Short's
    They have a 95+ Explorer with the 8.8. I'm going back to pull the yoke off of it today.
