Front Shock - Question

  • Think I may have a front shock going or gone. Noticed this morning a weird noise and feel when I made a turn over a bumb (into a parking lot and slow). Is there an easy way to check if this is actually the case?? Thanks.

  • Remove the shock and pull it out and compresses it. It should be smooth equal resistance through the stroke cycle. Chances are you only have a loose bolt on a suspension part like the track bar.

  • It could also be a missing bushing. The shock bushings can fall out as they wear which will cause a clunk sound as the suspension works.
