i keep getting a check engine code p0456 for a small evaporative emissions leak. I repaired a few connections that were looking pretty bad, but the check engine code keeps coming back. my question is, is there a way to tell if its leaking other than driving it for a few hundred miles until it throws the code again?

Find a shop with a smoker .
Probably pricey tho .

Usually the gas cap. I would start there.

Yea.... I changed that, didn't fix it. Mopar problems..... -
Last time i had an issue with my yj i droped the tank and made a fitting for the vent line so i could put 10lbs of air on it and started spraying the lines and fittlings with windex. Turned out to be a pin hole in the return line on the sender.

I guess that's my next step. Thanks for ur help

Rarely the gas cap on TJ's.
There is a ton of rubber hose and plastic fittings in the TJ's fuel and evap system.
Like Andrew said a smoker is the best bet and might be cheaper in the long run.

Can anyone recommend a place to go that has a smoker

I think I found the leak. I cleared the check engine code now I just have to wait for the system to be ready
