Put bikini on, sanded and painted my mirrors, cleaned up some rust on the frame, and started removing those ugly ass pinstripe "feathers". anyone got an easier way to get rid of pinstripes besides a fingernail and goo gone? Are they painted on or stickers?

Looks good.
Flip the tie rod over knuckle and ditch the stabilizer and you're set. -
if the stripes are like my rubicon logo i used a razor blade goin left ot right only dont go up n down wife found out the hard way that it scratches the paint
* today i installed 2 inch lift sway bars(quick disconects) witch dont matter with a rubicon lol. made a power/ground block from a old sub kit(chiefs idea) keeps it nice and clean looking, re wired and re installed cb gear. swaped my rubicon logo from grey to black, new spark plugs NGK R laser platinum(still cant find a upgrade for the ignition coil) wires otw, new batery upgraded too 800 cca -

stickers. They're coming off, but they're 12 yrs old and a little brittle, so they keep breaking and are stuck on there pretty good. Goo gone has been doing a good job of getting the residue off after. Hopefully a good wax job will help blend the discoloration where the stickers were. I'll post some before and afters when done. -

Takes vinyl off paint easily...chuck it up in a cordless drill and 'erase' it.

Tip: Remove the steps before you hit the trails.

Thanks Keith... gotta clean her up a bit, but wanted to post the pics b/c I knew you all would be after me to do so... Yeah, I know they need to come off, but I am not sure what I want to put on in their place... thoughts?? With the lift, the wife wants something there to help getting and out.Best choice would be rockers with a step.
You know it really never ends...

Steve the jeep looks great.
Great story as well. I hope to have one similar to it in the not so distant future.

I will agree with Keith as to putting on rockers with a step. Maybe something along the lines of this: http://www.quadratec.com/products/12067_100X_A_PG.htm -
I spent more time trying to figure out the best way to separate the wheels from the TJ. They've been on there a little too long and just don;t want to come off.

breaker bar, cheater bar, slow constant pressure?

breaker bar, cheater bar, slow constant pressure?I think he means getting the wheels off the hubs, nut the lug nuts.

Yeah, and I've tried moving it with the lug nuts loosened. Any other ideas? I'm about ready to take it some where and have the tires rotated to save myself the trouble.
-
put a lugnut on just a few threads and hit the backside of the wheel with a large rubber mallet keep turning the wheel so your not smacking it in the same spot every time.
-
Take the lug nuts off and drive it about 60mph and cut a hard left then a hard right should do it...
Oh, and wear your seatbelt...

replaced my inner axle seals on my dana 30 and put a new diff cover on.... and of course it took longer to put the diff cover on
