One thing to consider is to move the domain to 1and1.com and drop godaddy. I do all my hosting through 1and1.com and have had zero issues.. Also 1and1 is out of Chesterbrook, PA so the servers are actually very close by. Just a thought.
+1 for 1and1. Used them for years without issue.
well, an update... the support guys didn't see anything wrong. naturally. they want me to send them some logs when it's happening. if any of you linux guys can run an MTR when you see a problem, that'd be cool. they want it to run for 100 pings. lol I'll do it myself tomorrow if I'm awake when it happens. windows guys can do it with this: http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/
It's been running since yesterday. The problem definitely seems to be at the end point. Crazy high ping times, lack of response. I also started getting some messages from Apache instead of just timeouts which I think would indicate it's getting to the server. During one of the times I was having issues I tried to telnet to port 80 and it took forever to connect.

I sent them multiple logs yesterday afternoon. And then another that Keith sent me around 10 last night. They're blaming it on a "massive" DDOS attack. At one point, I couldn't even get onto their own server in the datacenter that's on a different switch. At this point I'm not impressed with their tech support, but hopefully it's over.
Nice...have they pissed off Anonymous or LulzSec lately? 
hehe I talked with some of those guys years ago on IRC. Including the crew that got into pakistans email system and found talks about nuclear testing. Cool guys

I was running an MTR test while I watched a slightly interesting documentary and it was fine. I shut it off a couple minutes before your post Keith. Ugh. Is it still acting up? if not... let me know when it does. Since it was fine for me, I'm hoping that it's almost fixed. If not... I'll get that other account up.
I ran the mtr test for 8 hrs and it never saw anything I would consider useful. And the website loaded like crap off and on the whole time...
I've been loading a bunch of threads to see if anything messes up and it's fine. Pages load quick and seem to load complete. I use Chrome so it has the loading icon up in the tab bar and it goes away as soon as the page loads.
