Hello everyone.
I sold my '78 CJ7 and purchased a 2004 Rubicon with low miles. Have been searching for some time, as I know they are hard to find at that age with below average miles.
Just wanted to give an update.

I will be the first to say, I am disappointed . Sure, its not rusty, sure it starts, sure it has AC , sure crap doesn't fall off going over a speed bump, but it was a CJ man , and not just any CJ , but it was your CJ. You let it down to join the ranks of the common. Enjoy your dependable , capable and comfortable non-cj. Seriously enjoy it but I bet you will miss it.

In response to deadfeat's comment.
No you will not miss the CJ not one little bit. On those cold winter days with no drafty doors, rainy days with no leaks (well mostly no leaks). No you won't miss the CJ. Getting your yearly tetanus shot, oily spots on the drive way, bumps like a wash board. No you will not miss the CJ.
Enjoy the new to you jeep. A former CJ driver!!!! -

You guys have all gone soft. There was a time being a CJ Guy meant something. It meant , I can keep this POS running and fix it on the side of the road with a few hand tools in my console, it meant I can handle cold winter drives with heater that can keep the cab comfortably at 35 degrees, dammit, it meant something...

Catching the flu after riding in a CJ with no top and doors in freezing weather was enough for me.

See thats what I am talking about.. Real man stuff. If that story was in a JK everyone would just think you are just an ass, but in a CJ you are bas ass!

Thanks to all who gave me congrats on the 2004 Rubi, and to those who said I would miss it, yes I do, however, it was time to get something newer. I like Cj's a lot, but I have been looking for a mid 2000's Rubicon for a while and when the opportunity presented itself, I took it. LOL
Anyway, thanks again from all of the responses.
