You get a lift for it yet? How high you going with it? I want to go to 37's when I need new tires but only if I get new gears by then.
No the lift is the only thing that I do not have yet. I plan on ordering it next month. I am going with the RE 4.5" LA. Here is a break down of what I have laying around the house waiting to be installed.
At the house:
RE Mono Tube Shocks for the 4.5" lift
Front and Rear Driveshafts
Front Transfer case Yoke
Rear Transfercase Flange
Superior 35 Spline Rear Axles
Front and Rear ARB Air Locker
ARB On-board Air Compressor and Tire Inflation Kit (This has been installed)
5 Rugged Ridge Satin Black Wheels
5 37" Goodyear Kevlars(Will have Saturday as mentioned)
Ordered and arriving next week hopfully:
5.38 Front and Rear gears with ring and pinion overhaul kits
ARB Differential Cover
RCV front axles
Dynatrac ProRock 44 configured for the ARB with pro steer bumpstops
JKS Quick Disco's
Superchip Flashpaq
So, I got a lot of work to do, which will require a good bit of help. But I will be posting up when the time gets closer about that.
Yea you will probably definitely need to regear because what do you have now 4.10's, I can't remember. But you could always just sell the 35's to help offset the cost of the 37's now. I'm not saying do it but I'm just saying it's always an option. -
I wish I had at least 4.10 gears. I have 3.73's. The day for re-gearing will come. But what I've done today is add
rugged ridge rock sliders/ steps
Skyjacker Steering stabilizer

Bought a soft top from the jeep swap for $150 with all required hardware. Installed it today and it seems to fit good. No pics but it looks like a soft top.

Any idea what size wrench? I have many. -

Not sure yet. I was lazy and didn't feel like crawling under there with my crescent wrench to find the proper size. Thanks for the offer but I'll probably go buy the right size so I have it for another time. -

Installed custom upper a-arms on the front of the KJ after finding a torn boot on one of the oem upper ball joints (non servicable). Eliminated a thumping noise I was having at slow speeds while turning, most likely the ball joint was going bad.

Put a new throttle cable on. The accelerator was hanging up on the way home from the fishing tournament, stopped in Milford and looked at it and the cable was fraying where it went through the firewall. Once I figured out how the factory retaining clips worked it was simple. Now I'm contemplating a hand throttle....

Glad it all worked out for you.. Thans Ian and Jen! All I did was hand it to them

Welded up the rear frame on the 92 today. Installed the 2way and scanner antanas on Sunday. One step closer to Pa insp.

Put bikini on, sanded and painted my mirrors, cleaned up some rust on the frame, and started removing those ugly ass pinstripe "feathers". anyone got an easier way to get rid of pinstripes besides a fingernail and goo gone?
