Delaware surf tag No. 2 sells for $20,500 at auction

I have no clue off the top of my head what my surf tag number is... Let that be a clue as to how much I would be willing to pay for a low number tag lol

Since normal tags do not have a number did DNREC just create these "low digit" tags to generate cash? If yes not a bad plan but for the chumps that bought them I just don't get it.

I do like the low digit licence plates but those are different.

Back in the day they were numbered.

Yes. The goal was to generate quick cash for the DNREC. They know very well Delaware's infatuation with low digit tags and knew they could make good money. They chose wisely.

Does anyone when the higher numbers go on sale? I would like to get 723

I believe 500 is the highest they are going.

Oh :/...maybe I can get my hands on 324 then!

Btw, the latest auction just closed. The cheapest went for around 1200 and the highest 5500. Seems like interest isn't tapering off yet.
