Hesitation/sputtering

A general tune up. Not much to go wrong with the older obd1 systems. Check plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

My old s10 did that when I bought it. Past owner put high dollar spark plugs in it. Cheap copper plugs cleared it up. I'd agree with astape, spark plugs, wire, cap & rotor

Did you recently fill up the tank? Could be bad gas. I just went through that with mine. Put in some Gas treatment stuff and octane boost and it cleared right up.

You can get a fuel injector cleaner that you inject into the fuel rail instead of going through your tank. That would probably clean the injector better. I forget what it's called.
