Replaced a burned out fog light. Now I don't feel quite so lop-sided.
What have you done to your Jeep today?

After much cursing, swearing, cutting, grinding and hammering the belly up, engine skid and mll is finally done. If anyone is thinking of doing this down the line and plans on doing it on the ground on your back you WILL regret your decision. Having a lift (Aarons) was priceless as we had to install and remove belly up skid several times to cut, grind and tweak for clearance. 1/4" carbon steel was definitely a two man job with the occasional need for a third. Can't wait for the club comp to break them in......You better not be shy about hitting the skinny pedal at the club comp with all those skids.
-
I wasn't shy using the skinny pedal with no skids, this year will be fun, more driving less worrying

Funny part is while doing mml we had to remove the air filter box, damn if I didn't have a birds nest with two dead baby birds just under the filter. That momma bird carried a bunch of twigs through the snorkel grate, down the snorkel and through another 3 feet of hose to the box.

Lol

Looks good, Steve. Especially the front flares
What led you to go with the 15.5" wide instead of 12.5" wide?

To be honest , I didn't think you could get MTR's 15.5 wide. I thought swampers and Baja claws were the only 35x15.5

Typo, they are 12.5 fixed.. I got them installed at the truck tire shop on rt 40 just before MD. $80 total. Good deal considering they guys had a hell of a time breaking the inside bead. FYI, i have some BFG Mud KMs 35x12.5x15 for sale for spares , much tread, just a bit old.

Drove it around the block. Woot.

Ordered a set of Moser Axles , bearing and seal set , new backing plates, new brake shoes to replace a bent rear Dana 44 shaft. May as well do the set, and keep one OEM shaft as a spare. Bought the shafts and bearings from Jegs.

After too many shipments, finally finished installing my new fender flares.

Is that how you perform your retrip inspection too???
I repainted my rusted out rocker panels on the JK yesterday and I'm reinstalling steps on it today.
On the TJ, snugged up the beadlock bolts, added hood pins since my one latch broke, and I'm going to finsh tightening everything else today. -
and I'm going to finish tightening everything else today. Is that even possible on a trail Jeep?

No... it's almost a fulltime job but it breaks anyway. -
Ordered a bunch of stuff to go with the broken radiator it needs.
-
Is that how you perform your retrip inspection too???Meh, I put a hand on it every now and then.
Actually, I did replace a sensor that might be causing my intermittent sputter. We will see on Sunday.

I resolved the issue with my power locks in my xj. Just got the jeep on Tuesday. Looking forward to building it up.
