No its not hooked up but i dont think i would have the skill or tooling to make a non-continuos cut on a hardened ring gear.

Thursday night we got the front shocks mounted, trackbar figured out with some nice bending around the axle housing, and tires on to test full compression. Also someone's dumb JK had to go in on Friday.

Artec High Steer arms came in this week so we mounted those last night and got some test suspension cycling in the front end along with everything welded and painted. Hard to get a good picture of the front end.

Why did you cut the grille bottom out instead of moving the winch forward another inch or so?

So we could move the winch back another inch or so -
To increase the approach angle I guess?
-
Yes. Its probably 3" shorter then stock and since the front frame rails r new it made sence to pull it in as tight as possible. The plan was to move it in farther but by the time the rad and fan were fitted that was as far as we could go.

he said it better -
To increase the approach angle I guess?I had a fabbed winch bumper on the former DeJA rig. It interfered with my approach angle enough that it became one of the items on my list of reasons for ridding myself of it.

Custom is Cool! Looks like you guys are having all the fun. Awesome build What is the new approach angle anyway, 110 degrees or so?

Progress! Aaron and Ed got a bunch done while I was away and last night we got the floor cut out and the control mounts built. Transmission is wired in, battery relocated, shock support bars installed.

Looks like Aaron's sheet metal work has improved a bit

It will all be under the seat anyway.... It looks way better than mine.
