Daaaaaaang! That sucks but glad you're okay!
-
Meh, looks like it will buff out.
-
Looks like a trail rig to me,
-
Haha!! Thanks guys.
I was smashed into at a red light. Whole front end is destroyed too.
But I walked away with hardly a bruise. -
Looks like the drum(s) survived as well! Glad you're safe!
-
Hate to see another XJ go down via accident. My oldest daughter contributed to the death of two!
Glad to see no serious injury's.

are you looking to sell this one as is?

are you looking to sell this one as is?Usually (always?) if the insurance company calls it a total loss, they keep the vehicle.

It appears that you were banged up on all sides! -
But, were the drums ok?
-
Sorry been away from the computer for a while.
Yea, the insurance company basically took it. Long story.
5 cars involved.
Drums are slightly messed up. broke both the loops on my kick drum, and snapped a cymbal stand in half.Looking for a new XJ too if anyone has any info.

If it wasn't your fault push the at fault insurance company for a replacement value, you will have to do some work finding the right comps but it will be worth it. I ended up getting about 6k for my 2001 with 180k on it when it got hit and they originally offered me just over 2k.

What do you mean by finding the right comps?
I put a bunch of money into that thing. I figured they'd lowball me. -

I put a bunch of money into that thing. I figured they'd lowball me.Other similar jeeps for sale in your area. I searched within 150 miles or so and picked out the nicer ones of similar vintage and miles. I mostly used Autotrader and a few dealers. They will still adjust some. People tend to ask stupid money for some XJ's. I put about 8 of them together in a PDF and sent it to the claims rep. I also put together a list of all the aftermarket parts I had on it (lift, bumpers, etc) and a list of recently installed parts. I had put a new fuel pump, trac bar, steering stabilizer, brakes, and rotors on it 4 days before it got hit. When it was all done and everything was negotiated I bought it back for $150 and parted it out myself.
I'm not saying you will have the luck I did but I would def be prepared to negotiate some.

Great idea! Thanks man. I'm going to start getting that together now.
