wow, thats sounds like a lot of juice. What kind of range do you think you can get with that?? if we can get a half mile out of a 1/4 watt.....i cant imagine what you can do with that thing.

SWEET

from a curiousity perspective...why do you amp it? it seems like you'd only be able to utilize with the select folks that have amped their radios too. Not to mention just frustrating all the local people that you step on. also, does the FCC allow you to do that?
-
Talked from Broad and Vanago in Philadelphia to a base in Claymont. He told me that the single was like I was local and I walked over the people in Trainer pa. SWEETWe have truckers come into the yard with amped CB's. They step on the loader trying to talk to the scalehouse, other trucks trying to talk to the loader or scalehouse, the CB comes across the phone lines, generally a royal pain in the ass.

so it is cool to be stepping through into other people's car stereo speakers on the highway when you drive along side them....because it is only when you "get in get out"? just checking...

In my opinion, if you want to engage in long distance communication you should do it the right and legal way and get a Ham Radio license and buy the proper equipment.
But again, that's just my opinion.
I'm sure if someone forwarded this post to the FCC they might be paying Tugboat a visit, since he's admitted to breaking at least 3 regs that I know of.
-
also, does the FCC allow you to do that? No, and if caught by a neighbor with cell phones or cordless it's a heffy fine...
-
and everybody talking about switching tires, doors and flares out for inspection isn't kosher either...

and everybody talking about switching tires, doors and flares out for inspection isn't kosher either...I was waiting for that. LOL

come on now, lets use some common sense here. What issues does tires, wheels, and flares have on other people? If you have a CB that is over the limit, everytime you key it up ur buzzing on someone else with a wireless phone or equipment. That is why the FCC has regulations. I'm no angel, I bumped my CB up too. But it's now where near 250 or higher watts...
