Ed had a nice flip to pop his cherry. The jeep was able to drive out, but is going to require some surgery before it can go out again. It was a great weekend on the trails and back at the campsite.

So is someone going to give a report?
Or is it "What happens at Big Dogs stays at Big Dogs"...

found a youtube video of a ZJ rolling over...
skip to 50-55 seconds and start there, the rest was boring.

Yeah, we saw them the next day...open/open zj w/ lots of lift and what looked like 32" swampers. Did you also happen to notice the poor, unsecured dog that was damn near ejected? Idiots.
I'll get together something of a report later but am swamped currently catching up w/ a backlog of things at work from vacation.

Ya we seen him on the trail about 30 minutes after it happend. The Dog jumped out and was fine. The better catch was that his wife and new born were walking the trail behind the jeep. She told me that she had enough riding in the jeep after that.

Well we made it home safe, but did have to put new rear hatch on the XJ. I opened the hatch and it fell off Also a rear driveshaft was needed on Sat.
Other then that I had a awesome time and Im considering going 4 times a year now
and Mardi said she misses everyone -
Wanted to thank everyone for a great time... Shorebird and Sal thanks for the passenger seats after Ed decided to kill his Jeep within the first 30 min on the first day. I'm sure my junk will come out of retirement for next year... One more thank you to Stafford for the major headache... I know you didn't pour the drinks down my throat but you sure made it easy! Everclear!

It's a bit of that and a bit of we just don't remember because of the grain alcohol.

and Mardi said she misses everyoneAll weekend I was wondering why you named a female dog Marty. Now it makes sense.

I made it through the tumble ok, but was a little achey the next day(Although that could have been the everclear). I cant say the same for the Jeep though. Damage list so far.....
Frames bent, track bar mount twisted , steering box twisted.... Front axle shifted about a foot toward driver side, shock bent, driver side knuckle cracked, front bumper ripped from frame , windshield and frame trashed, header bar bent, rear quarter smashed, tailight smashed drivers side mirror destroyed ego bruised....etc. To add insult to injury, the damn thing only starts occasionally.
Otherwise I had a blast and got to know some great people. Thanks to everyone who helped me turn my junk back on 4 wheels and make and otherwise unpleasent situation rather amusing. Thanks to Vicky for letting me beat up on your ride all day and thanks to Fran for the shotgun seat on saturday. Oh yeah and thanks to everyone who put up with my foul drunken mouth..... "Im just saying".Ed
Time for full hydro and coilovers..... -
