Sure do! Back lot day shift.
What have you done to your Jeep today?

Got my Tuffy speaker boxes reinstalled. Installed the speakers and some handles on them as well.

Those stick up more than I thought they would. I always thought they'd be flush with the top of the tub for some reason.
-
Yeah they're a little tall but I really like having the lockable storage as well as the fact they double as speaker boxes. Where the mounting bolts go through the wheel well, I used 1/8" washers to allow moisture to run out of and under the box if needed and also for the speaker wire to run out of the access port (which somebody thought worked best thru the bottom ).

I took a break from project left lane and installed heat and A/C in the garage

I took a break from project left lane and installed heat and A/C in the garageNice...been thinking of doing one in the house.

They are nice, I put many of them in.
-
Changed my alternator and serp belt after they left me high and dry this morning
-
That's the jeep's payback for buying the truck. Mine did the same thing to me, broke an alloy shaft the first trail it was towed to.
-
Changed rear axle bearings to quiet a driveline noise...still have the noise

Welp, with the help of a loaner impact gun and a little time and sweat I was finally able to get the doors off of this dang thing for the first time in 3years of ownership. After many unsuccessful attempts with the floor Jack/highlift Jack method, I resorted to removing the entire door brackets from the body and then was able to remove them and reinstall the brackets on the jeep.
I plan on filing out the insides of the brackets and sanding the posts a little (as well as re-lubing) before reinstalling to hopefully make them easier to go on and come off in the future. Also before the doors go back on at end of the season I am going to take the brackets back off and blast them and repaint them black to resolve a small surface rust issue I am having with them.
Hopefully the result will be something like this: -
Novak conversions
Two months I waited for my wiring harness and it came in wrong. -
I blew a wheel cylinder mashing my brakes while winching trees out of the ground with Kieth. Then when I swapped it the line was seized and busted so I swapped that too. I'm glad it happened now because it definiatly would have given out at rc this weekend otherwise. We also discovered that my electrical connections to the positive side of the battery could use a good cleaning. My winch kept cutting out because of some corrosion on the terminal. Oops.

Fired up the OBDII scanner to troubleshoot the check engine light. Plugged in the scanner, paired the bluetooth with my phone and pulled the code. None of this is very impressive but I did it at 65mph. No, I don't need the lecture. Cylinder 4 misfire. Need to find the time to replace the plugs before this weekend, grrr.

Put lipstick on a pig
Any pics of the whole pig you can post? I bought a 10a 18 years ago and never did anything to it. Sold it a few years to a guy in Lancaster. -
