Do you have half doors? And wheeling with a hard-top can be a bad idea... If you lean that thing into a tree, that top is done.
August 22nd - Rausch Creek

you can throw them in my tent... that's what I usually do (at your own risk)
I have some faith in the 4wheeling community, but there are some that would steal I'm sure.
oh, and I would hate wheeling with the hard top, I only put it on for winter... even then I hate it.

If you lean that thing into a tree, that top is done.Ed, I have a safari top on now, so when it comes to rain I'm totally vulnerable. I have regular factory full doors, and I also have the Bestop canvas half doors (that do not take windows).

You can put them in my truck if you want.

or mine. there will be plenty of room for doors and such. -
Full doors suck, no doors suck, canvas halfs are the way to go. I would just absolutely hate to crack a $700 top.

-
On a side note, nothing beats when J-Man's rear glass just fell out of the rig, landed on the ground, and never broke! Just put it back in and kept wheelin', too funny. I would have killed for that picture...
-
I could not believe that. Both of us were in awe. Effin crazy. I dont think I even turned off the Jeep when I got out.
you probably also wouldn't like leaning an XJ into a treeNo, if I had an XJ as a trail rig the glass would be gone already and it would be back halfed with an exo.

or mine. there will be plenty of room for doors and such. Thanks fellas.
I'm on active duty until Thursday evening and am leaving for PA Friday morning, so if I have the time I will try to install my Bestop soft top. I have not had it on the TJ in about 18 months and probably won't be able to figure out how to put the sucker on!! From what everyone is saying, that's the way to go. If I show up with my hard top, that means I wasn't smart enough to figure out how to put the soft top.

You'll be fine either way Jim. RC is wide open compared to most places.
I wheeled my four door JK around on Blues all day and didn't get near anything. Just be careful.
Also, a bike lock works well for the doors. -
Well, put the new battery in today and fixed the brake line on Sun so all I have to do is gather up the camping supplies and I am ready to go.

As long as I can finish the Jeep up I will head up to wheel Sat and Sun, if it aint broke, in Ed's group.
-
I am still waiting on parts. If they don't make it, I am going to ride shotty with Aaron.
-
...and Sun, if it aint broke, in Ed's group.
in Ed's group? then it will be broken... ;D -
You know, our group does not normally break. I have only broken twice on the trail in 2 years. One pitman arm and one locker.
But Mike's rig is more then capable of running every trail at RC and doing well.

I'm asking again...is there anyone coming home sat night who can drop me off in Dover? I will help with gas. The only way I can wheel is if I can be back in time to work Sunday. Ed will trailer my Jeep up and back, but he is staying for Saturday.

I lost my rider due to work (he has to close down a few lanes on 495 around DC.) so I will have a seat, even if I do bring someone, there should be room in the back ;D
